The dough, made of flour and water, requires a deep understanding that can only be acquired through years of practice. Craftsmen gauge its consistency with their hands, adjusting its texture with precision. To achieve the desired elasticity, fingers are dipped into bowls of saltwater, while regular water adds moisture when needed.
