Street vendors would sell pizza topped with various things to feed them. Yup, pizza was considered a street food! In fact, even today in the city of Naples, pizza is still served on the streets in the form of <em>pizza a portafolio <\/em>(or <em>wallet pizza <\/em>because it is folded a few times). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-rubik-font-family has-custom-font translation-block\" style=\"font-family:Rubik\">Ma come \u00e8 diventata cos\u00ec famosa la Pizza Margherita? \nLa leggenda narra che a Napoli, nell'anno 1889, il pizzaiolo locale Raffaele Esposito decise di preparare una pizza utilizzando ingredienti che rappresentassero i colori della bandiera italiana, per onorare la visita del Re Umberto I e della Regina Margherita: il basilico, per il verde, la mozzarella, bianco, e salsa di pomodoro, per il rosso.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stopitasounding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ACEA064A-9333-4871-945E-5426A0395C81_1_105_c-edited.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-398\" width=\"369\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stopitasounding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ACEA064A-9333-4871-945E-5426A0395C81_1_105_c-edited.jpeg 636w, https:\/\/stopitasounding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ACEA064A-9333-4871-945E-5426A0395C81_1_105_c-edited-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/stopitasounding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ACEA064A-9333-4871-945E-5426A0395C81_1_105_c-edited-600x450.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 369px) 100vw, 369px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-rubik-font-family has-custom-font translation-block\" style=\"font-family:Rubik\">Chiamata Margherita, come la regina, divenne cos\u00ec famosa che nel 1984 fu fondata l'associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, con lo scopo di insegnare, promuovere e preservare questo tesoro culturale culinario. \nNel 2010, la pizza napoletana ha ottenuto la designazione STG, Specialit\u00e0 Tradizionale Garantita, mentre nel 2017, \u201cl'arte della creazione della pizza napoletana\u201d \u00e8 stata onorata con lo status di \"patrimonio culturale immateriale\" dall'UNESCO.\nE infine, oggi, si celebra la Giornata Mondiale della Pizza, nello stesso giorno della festa di S.
